Deep Fryer - How to Clean Deep Fryer Oil



A problem that often plagues owners is that the deep fryer cooking oil often spoil after only a few uses. With these few simple tips you can make your cooking fresh for months without going rancid, improving the taste of food and cleaning your electric deep fryer is a breeze.

Many electric fryers now come with a filtering system that will filter out small pieces of residual mass and food floating in your frying oil. However, if you have one or more spartan older model, you have to manually filter the oil. Filtration of oil is a dirty job, but you must keep the oil fresh and avoid foods that have been leaving a bad taste. If you do not dean out your cooking oil from time to time you fry food in dirty oil will absorb the flavors of old food and maybe even taste burnt particles of food waste.

First, find a deep container to store the oil inside So take a mesh sieve and place it on the container. Pour out the dirty oil in the sieve slowly and wait until all the solid particles have filtered oil. You can then transfer the cooking oil back into your electric deep fryer.

This should be done periodically to keep the oil cool, while possible.When not in use, be sure to put the cap on your electric deep fryer. This will keep out oxygen and light, which rapidly oxidize its oil and turn it rancid. Covering your fryer also make sure that no oil spill and dust and debris do not end up in your skillet.

As you filter the oil, to avoid excessively high temperatures, and keep its oil covered in the dark, which should last several months. You must have frying oil, when oil gets dark in color, begin to smell rancid, and becomes thick and sticky.
